MVP ComCamp in Brisbane

Microsoft MVP Community Camp (MVP ComCamp) in Brisbane is an in-person afternoon event, held at Microsoft’s campus on 30 Jan 2015. The theme for this event is “Essence of Cloud Computing with Azure and SQL”.

I will be presenting on “From Impaired to Insightful Geospatial Reporting” with SQL Server, Power BI and Office 365 at 1PM on the day. I look forward to seeing you there!

This MVP ComCamp is one out of five that Microsoft is putting together for this first Quarter of 2015. For other major cities in Australia, check it out here.

SQL Saturday #365 Melbourne

I'm speaking at SQL Sat 365 Melbourne

I’m honoured and thrilled to be part of SQL Saturday Melbourne again in 2015. This time, I’ll be presenting “10 Handy Tips on SQL Server Dates” on a regular session among other 32 other experienced and upcoming community speakers. One of them, Michael van Halderen (b | t), is a fellow Canberran too and he’ll be delivering a Lightning Talk on “Want a database in the cloud but not so Azure of yourself?”.

In case you haven’t heard about SQL Saturday before …

SQL Saturday returns to Melbourne in February 2015. After a hugely successful 2014 event, it will be back bigger and better than before with 30 technical sessions from local and international presenters covering all aspects of the SQL Server family. In 2014 we had around 240 attendees which was in the top 10 globally for the SQL Saturday brand. This time we’re hoping to top the 300 mark and have secured presenters from 5 countries outside Australia.

SQL Saturday is a one day free conference (there is a nominal charge of $15 to help with catering costs for the day) hosted by the local SQL Server Community. It will be held on Saturday, 7 Feb 2015 at Monash University’s Caulfield Campus.

In addition, we are also hosting 3 Pre-Con full day sessions on Friday, 6 Feb 2015 also at Monash Uni. These are deep dive sessions hosted by top experts in their fields and cost a measly $315.

All the details can be found at https://www.sqlsaturday.com/365/eventhome.aspx

Hope to see you at both events and more in 2015!

Julie
